First time I've made it to Cardiff Bay since moving to Swindon. It's worth a visit and I look forward to going back in the Summer.
When I started this blog I didn't know what to expect but what actually happened is that I have a diary of what's been going on in my life since I started it. It also gives me a chance to share some of the many pictures I take on a daily basis. This is for me but if you enjoy it then all the better.

I was walking around Old Town in Swindon and saw this. It's actually telling drivers to be aware of kids playing I guess but it does have a sinister feel to it.

This was taken in Wales on a week away walking in October. The Ellan Valley has been dammed and made into a reservoir so it makes it very still. Great for capturing reflections.

This was taken in Feb just as the sun was setting. It's a great place to go over and over agian. Depending on the time of day and weather it can look so different.

Skiing in Lapland Finland Feb 08
Here is a picture I took while skiing in Levi, Findland.
Updated 27/12/08:
I've had a lot of interest in my Flickr pictures of Levi so I thought I'd update this blog entry with a bit more information. It was my first entry so is a little light on detail.
Lapland is a fantastic place to go for a winter holiday. It was my second time in Levi. The first time was when I learnt to ski a few years ago. Levi itself is just north of the Artic Circle and the temperature reflects that. When I was there this time it got down to -17C but like anything as long as you are prepared for it then it does not stop you going out and having fun on the slopes. You can hire special winter jump suits but we did not need them, just wear lots of good layers and be sensible. We took regular breaks from the slopes and made sure we warmed up.
Levi itself offers much more than skiing, you can go walking, cross country skiing and my favourite hurtling along pulled by huskies.
The slopes are great for beginners and there are some black runs and off piste for the more experienced. What it lacks in challenge it makes up for in the sheer brilliance of powder snow and that winter wonderland feel.
I'd love to go again, maybe next time I'll be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights!
